6 points on driving license - advise needed!

Hi guys,

I am new to this forum and thanks to all of you for keeping us well informed with useful immigration discussion.

I have got 6 points on my driving license and I have applied for naturalisation 2 days ago.

They have both been given by “fixed penalty office” and they are both Sp30 speeding tickets. I have not challenged them, just paid the fee and accepted the fine. Therefore, there is no court involvement.

I have submitted my driving license history along with my application (I am not sure if this was a mistake or not?).

I dont really want to spend the next 3-4 months worrying about this.

Just for my piece of mind, would this be a showstopper?

Thanks a lot for your answers in advance!!

No. There is nothing which suggests that you cannot become naturalised with points on your licence. Why did you submit your history, it is strange?

It was the lady from the council’s advise. However, I regret it straight away and it’s too late now.
Do you think it’ll be an issue?

You have not done any mistake by submitting your license history, infact you are doing yourself more good as this counts towards honesty on your part. Dont panic, as long as you paid the FPN and there was no court involved, you are fine. Only if you got the 2 FPNs in the last 12 months prior to your application then there can be a behavioral concern from HO.
