Enrolling biometrics of a minor

Hello
I have applied for registration of my son to become a British citizen for which we have to enrol his biometrics. However, my son who is just 2 years old hasn’t let us get his photo taken at the post office. He was really upset and is scared to even enter the photo booth. I contacted the Home office with regards to the same however they replied saying that without biometrics they can’t go ahead with his application.
I am wondering surely there should be a overriding biometrics facility in case of a minor. Has anyone had such an experience. Please advice.
Many thanks
Neha

I will give you a little advice.
Make a small booth-like room at home and start playing with your child a little game. Try to pretend to "make photos" and reward him if he stands properly - encourage him with whatever he likes - like sweeties or whatever. Then when you go to post office - he/she will see it in a different way - not scary but rewarding. Try this - it might work.
Good luck mate.

What you can do is let the child sit over your neck and holding his/her hands. Enter the booth and all you need to do is kneel down or squart for him/her to level up with the camera. That is what my cousin did for his 21 months old son.
If you expect him to be in the booth by himsefl/herself, it wont work.

Oh yeah thanks. That would have worked.
We somehow managed to get his photo taken. The staff at post office was very helpful. I had held my son away from me ,although he was crying, they managed to get his one image. Now hopefully the home office accepts it.
