My question is how can I apply for British citizen. I red that first I need to apply for Permanent Residentce and then for naturalisation. BUT a girl from Bulgaria told me that I can apply for PR on a base that I'm married for British and her application was refused. They told me that I need to live here 5y and be self employed or work ,which I didn't do.Can you help me and tell me is it a way for me and which application I need to became a British citizen? Thank you

You cannot apply for citizenship if you do not hold a document certifying you have PR. Makes no difference if you are married to a British citizen.

If you have not been a qualified person exercising treaty rights by working, self sufficient or student (last two you must have had comprehensive sickness insurance) for 5 years, then you won't qualify for PR.
