Hello,

I am an EEA national applying for british citizenship, on the basis of 5 years PR + 1 years. In the course of my application, I have been asked some further documents, which i sent.

Previoulsy, on my online update "check imigration status" website, it was saying "Awaiting decision: last updated on the 27 of July".

Yesterday however, I checked the website again, and it was still saying "awaiting decision" but the "last date of update" part have disappeared...

does it mean that the application oitcome is to be decided? Should I conclude that something is happening behind the scene?

thanks.

Unlikely just playing with the program, perhaps the date is causing problems with the system as well as people complaining, perhaps they are so overworked they have to try and relieve the system.

Guys in my point of view, they are trying to remove the update date part from the programme so that other applicants can’t see who’s case has been decided on what date , as applicants starting to make comparison about who’s case has decided first despite of late application submission date and phoning home office without realising that each individual is different and their circumstances are different as well. Due to removing date we now can’t say that which months cases are being processed at the moment ! Good approach by HO.

Timelines for new applications will need a tweek, but people can put the application date in letter as a starting point. We will still get a good idea of how long it takes.
