Please I need help from people in the house to advise me accordingly as i don't know what to do in this case.

Point to note:

I've just got my Indefinite Leave to Remain couple of months ago, and prior to that I have a 17year old boy who has been in the UK at age 6.

Now that I've got my Indefinite, Is it possible to register him as a "Child born outside UK" and what are the chances of him getting registered as a British Citizen under this category??

What is the child's immigration status and history?

What about the childs' other parent, what is their immigration status?

On what basis did you get ILR, long residence or.........???

Thanks for your reply. The Mum don’t have status and likewise my son.

My Immigration status is so complicated because I was married to an EEA National who later end the marriage. Since then I have been having issues with HO because i didn’t notified them on time that the marriage has ended then they gave me another 5yrs when am suppose to get indefinite.

Now the the five years run out and I applied for indefinite which I got at the moment. I was wondering if I can register my son with this please??

No he doesn't qualify for Citizenship unfortunately. He needs ILR and at least 2 years legal residence to qualify. If he is in the UK and has no legal status at all, he will fail the good character requirement.
