Early NCS due to travelling and unavailability of dates

Hi guys
I was granted my ILR on 24th December 2016 and understand that we have to wait for a year to apply for Neutralisation and passport. But when trying to book an appointment with NCS Westminster, I saw availability for 19th December and next one for 8th January. Can I book for the 19th December(Tuesday) as 24th is a Sunday and because of the holiday season I believe it will be a struggle to get any dates in December.

I wouldn't have mind waiting until 8th January but I already have a flight booked for the 28th December and will be away for 3 weeks.

Any advice will be much appreciated.

Apply when you return to the UK in January.

Date of application is the date of your NCS appointment.

Sorry, not sure what happened to your posts.

You can apply through any NCS. It does not have to be your local council one.

It duplicated for some reason and I deleted one of them but I guess both got deleted.

Anyway, thanks for your help as always CR001!

Hey CR001! I have a followup question but didn't want to make another post so gonna ask here

I managed to get an appointment at another centre for 27th December 2017 BUT I was asked by the person on the phone whether I was in the UK exactly 5 years ago, i.e: 27th December 2012. Weirdly enough, I was actually not in the country in December 2012. He said if thats the case, I should not be able to apply for the Neutralisation. Is that gonna cause a problem? - I am applying on the 10 years basis, didn't know of such a rule.

Kindly advise.
(P.S: do not delete it this time  )

Citizenship is based on the 5 years residence immediately preceding the date of application. It is a mandatory requirement to have been physically present in the UK on the exact date at the start of the 5 year residence period. If you were not, your application will be refused.

There is no '10 year route' citizenship, so not sure what you are referring to. Citizenship has nothing to do with the route you took to get ILR.
