Hi. I passed my B1 exam for British citizenship application on 31/10/2015. I am not sure is it expired or not yet? I am EU cirtizen at the moment. I took the test before because I was ready to apply for British citizenship at that time. I missed the chance because new rule came out, that I need to get Permanent Resident document before applying for BC. So I got PR and now I am applying for BC. On the gov.uk website I find information that B1 exam could be used for citizenship application after two years, but if the same exam been used when applied for PR. But when I applied for PR there was no requirement to prove English, because I am EU. So I am bit confused. Can I still use the same B1 certificate or I need to pass exam again?

Which English test exactly did you do?

It must be from and HO approved test provider on the current list.

I was in the same bat as you. Did language and LIUK test, but than law changed and we had to get PR first
When I finally applied for BC, I had to redo the language test as it was over 2 yrs old

I did GESE Grade 5 in Trinity college. Speaking and listening. It is still on the current list. It is a shame if I need to do the exam again. Just waste of money.

Thank you for your replays.
