You will need more than the BRP to prove residence.

Huh, examples please or would my P60/SA302 and my expired 5years RC 08/2017 be enough to prove my residence?

Yes, those should be ok or bank statements, utility bills. Only for the period since your passport expired.

The assumption from HO would be that you have another passport and might have left the country, see.

Hello members

My question
Does it say anywhere in the LAW how long one needs to be in the UK before apply BC after returning from short holidays aboard. someone told me that you need to be in the UK 90days before applying for BC after a short visit aboard, how true is that?

Not true. Stop listening to "someone".

The absence limits are clearly documented and the 90 days absence limit is for the 12 months immediately prior to application.

Thank you.
In that case so it's very fine to apply straightaway after returning from 4weeks holidays aboard ?

Yes, provided you meet all the other requirements, including being physically present at the start of the 3 or 5 year residence period.
