Citizenship Invitation Letter not received for wife

Hi all,

I applied for Naturalisation through JCAP NCS route for me, my wife and daughter. I received Citizenship Invitation letter last Saturday for me and my daughter but not for my wife. So I am not sure what has happened there. Since we have applied together, is the decision NOT done together? Or am I missing something? Has anyone been in this situation before?

PS: I did not receive any separate approval letter. The approval decision was specified as part of the Citizenship Invitation Letter.

Regards,
PGR.

I have not been in this situation before, however, to clarify with them what you can do is contact the home office on two email addresses for confirmation that indeed your wife is also being invited to the citizenship ceremony and all three of you are being sworn in as citizens.

citizenship.support@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

NationalitySupportTeamFMT@homeoffice.gsi.gov.uk

Also they have a telephone number: 0300 123 2253

Thanks for the response. I gave a call to the number mentioned and they said they cannot give an update until 6 months has elapsed. I mentioned that two of us have already received our citizenship invitation letters but only she has not received for which they said that "sometimes" even though we have applied together it would be dealt by different caseworkers. So I have to now "assume" that her application is following a different timeline.

Each application is processed individually and separately as each person applying must meet the mandatory requirements on their own.

There is no 'dependent' concept for citizenship applications, each one is independent of any other.
