My daughter as started a new secondary school this past September after moving and being home educated. The naturalisation form appears to desire a teacher, doctor or social worker to be her professional referee. My question is: Will it be acceptable for her teacher to sign the form even though she hasn't known her for the 3 year time requirement?

Assuming you are looking at form MN1, please advise if your daughter is UK born or born abroad or how she qualifies to apply for citizenship.

My daughter was born abroad and has met the residency requirements for citizenship. She currently has ILR.

Are either or both parents British or applying at the same time as the child?

I have read the MN1 form more carefully. I does not say the child must be know for 3 years.

Would this be the correct form (MN1) to use for her at the NCS when my husband and I take our own naturalisation forms?

And yes, both parents are applying at the same time for naturalisation.

MN1 for children under 18 and each of you as parents need your own AN form.

That's correct. The three year requirement does not apply to children.
