Dear all,
I hope you'll be fine.
I've completed my 1 year after receiving ILR and now I would like to apply for british nationality.
I want to keep my original documents with me as I want to fly out of country for a month.
Should I apply through NCS ?
Do I've to provide BRP soon after submitting my application ?
Also I am going out of country to get married, so once I am married then should I inform my marital status to home office after I come back ?
Your help will be highly appreciated, Many thanks

Yes, if you wish to keep your original documents.

Do you mean biometric enrollment or BRP Card??
Also I am going out of country to get married, so once I am married then should I inform my marital status to home office after I come back ?
Is your name going to change??

Yes biometric enrollment for finger prints etc - Do I've to provide straight way after submitting the application or can I provide when I come back from holidays (After 4 weeks).

No my name is not going to change. Basically I am flying out of 26th of Jan and coming back after 4 weeks. During this time I am going to get marry - my name is not going to be changed but my wife name is going to be changed on her passport and ID card.

Members should be aware that colour shading makes the text incredibly difficult to read...which obviously isn't the intention.

HO will write to you to submit/enroll your biometrics at the Post Office.
I would suggest you wait till you return before applying for citizenship so that you do not miss the letter.

I want to apply for citizenship because I want to apply for my wife visa as soon I am granted the citizenship so trying to minimise the time.
I hope HO will issue the bio metric letter after 14 days and then I will have some time to cover, I am quiet confused.

Biometric letters can take 3 to 4 weeks.
Citizenship is currently taking 5-8 months, sometimes longer.
You can apply for a spouse visa for your wife with your ILR. You do not have to wait till you are British.

Do you mean I can apply for citizenship and on the other hand I can also apply for my wife visa with my ILR ?
Is it okay to apply for citizenship now and then after few months even I don't receive my citizenship and I can apply for my wife visa with ILR ?
