Travelling abroad while UK Citizenship application in process

Hello.

My UK Citizenship is currently being processed. I submitted it in November 2017. I used the Nationality Checking Service, so I have my passport. I would be most grateful if you could answer the following questions:

1. Can I travel abroad while my UK Citizenship application is being processed? (I am fully aware that, if the Home Office writes to me at any time, I have 2 weeks to reply.)

2. If I can travel, will my days outside the UK be counted against my original allowance of 270 days over 3 years? (I spent just under 270 days outside the UK during my qualifying period of November 2014 - November 2017.)

With thanks,

Do you have more information about the second question? I just want to be sure.
Thanks.

Days of absence are counted back from the date of application. Days out of country after your application date are not counted.
