Foreign (EU) marriage certificate

Currently applying for British Citizenship via EEA route. I am married to a Brit and need to provide a marriage certificate. We got married in France in 2015 and all our marriage documentation is in French. Questions:
- Should the certificate be translated or is it ok to provide a copy in French?
- Should the certificate be recent? I.e. should we order a copy dated 2018 instead of providing an original certificate from 2015?

Thanks!

Do you hold a document certifying PR?

My understanding is that non English documents need to be officially translated.

No need to order a new one.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick response.

Yes I do have a permanent residence card (if this is what you meant).

I'll get our marriage certificate translated.

Thanks!
