Hi everyone
I applied for BC on October and i still waiting for the outcome but after reading some refusal BC post i start be worried about my own outcome and what shall I do?
I entered UK illegally on 2004 till i got married with EU citizen on 2007
Before i apply fo BC I did request SAR which they mention they didnt find any visa on my passport when i applied for my first resident card on 2007 and they concluded that I entred illegally
So i Presumed it was obvious and there is no need to mentioned on my BC application that i entred illegally on 2004
I just filled where and when did you entred the first time
Do you think I need to contact the HO to let them know i entered illegally or there no need to do so?
If i have to contact them which the best way by post or email?
Many thanks.

CR001,Vinny or anyone else can please answer my question
Do I need to contact HO and let them know that I entred UK illegally on 2004 till i married the EU Citizen on march 2007
I was focusing about only what happened the last 10 years hence i didnt declared on my BC Application
(my 10 years qualification period is from october 2007 till october 2017)

You will be better off if HO contact you for any thing they need . Your best option is : wait and watch ...
Good luck!

Thank you for your reply,i thought about it wait for them to approach me,but I scare they will refuse my application and ban me 10 years further because i didnt reveal my clandestine entry to UK on my BC application
From your point of you what i will lose if I contact them and confirm my illegal entry to uk since it happend before my qualification period( the breach of immigration is occurred more than 10 years before I applied for BC application)
Any thought?

What do yu mean?
I come through eurostar
But since breach of immegration was before my qualification periode it should be irrelevant
The HO has to look 10 years back from the day i applied for British Citizens, the last 10 years i was already have my resident card
From my understanding is no matter if you were illegal before the qualification period

How did you get pass UK Immigration?
If the incident happened over ten years ago, then you may be okay.
However, if they have proof that you used
deception in your current AN application, even when it's related to an incident over ten years ago, then this deception is within 10 years.

advice. Did you take great care on how you answered their questions?

Out of curiosity, to rectify this potential issue, as the OP has ILR, would they be able to withdraw that application and resubmit a fresh application this time declaring the illegal entry?
I understand they will lose their fee's and the time up to this point, but surely, it must be better than it being refused and potentially a 10 year wait (I think from my understanding) to re-apply again
if they are accused of deception.
I understand this is just hypothetically stating and assuming.

Cancel the application It could be my way out,the money is not big issue compared to the 10 years ban

They have nothing about me till I applied for resident card on 2007

I have never been asked any question so far but
if they send some question and i answer them correctly and from there point they make their decision
they can cosiderate as deception even it's me who told them about that situation?
- do you think if i send me letter explain my situation and how i entred illegally to uk
It will be considerate as deception or part of the AN applicaton if the letter reach them before they contact me or make decision?
Any comment?
