Council Tax and Naturalisation Application

Hi Guys,

I applied to BC following following 5 years of Tier II + 1 year ILR at the end of November.

In October, before I applied, my flatmate bought a place and moved out and we sub-letted our flat until our contract expires in March 2018. I moved to another's friend's flat and planning to stay here until I buy a place myself in the summer.

My question is, I am still paying the council tax in my old address that I sub-letted, and will keep on paying until the end of March. In my current address, that I used in my BC application form, I am not on the council tax. My friend is paying and he is also the landlord.

My question is, would it be an issue for Home Office, that I am still paying my council tax in my previous address but not the current one? I am still waiting for a response despite many people who applied even later than I did got responses already.

Any ideas? Do you think I should update HO on this?

I doubt it's something that they would concern themselves with, or look into. I don't pay any council tax at all - my place has all bills included. I don't think they care.

I think I saw from another thread that you applied end of November. I did too and haven't heard back, either. It's been 3 months which is a while, but not SO long so as to worry that there are some problems. I have a really basic case and mine's taking a while, so who knows. I don't think this counts as a delay, and if it did I really doubt that your council tax thing would be the reason behind it...
