Hi board members and valuable modretaors, I have one quick question as I am a British national and my wife is going to apply for ILR next month. Does she has to wait for 1 year after ILR to apply for British Citizenship or 1 year wait time does not apply to her situation?

I read two different scnerios on gov.uk website like if partner is britsih citizen then 3 years qualifying period and not mention to spend 1 year on ILR.

Please clarify what is the situation.

No, she does not have to wait 1 year, assuming she meets ALL the requirements for citizenship as spouse of BC based on 3 years residence, including being physically present on the exact same date 3 years ago as the date she applies.
