Applying for Citizenship: Will a certified copy of my BRP suffice.

Hi,

I am currently applying for my citizenship via:
Registration as a British citizen Persons born before 1 July 2006 to British fathers and whose parents were not married

It has asked me to send in my BRP. I am currently in Australia, by sending in my BRP I can't get back into the UK without it. Would a certified copy of my BRP card suffice in the application?

Further to that question, do certified copy's of my documents count? (Certified in Australia by a Justice of the Peace).

Kind regards.

Brendan.

Cheers that is what I considered also.
Would you be aware if that is a satisfactory exception?
