Hello All,
I recently received my ilr and shared timeline aswell; however, I have been talking to someone who said that an applicant who claimed asylum cannot apply for naturalistaion after one year of receiving the ilr due to an exclusion in the Naturalization guidance.
Please advice if it is true.
Thanks

Nonsense. You do however have to meet the more strict Good Character Requirement for citizenship.

A bit sigh of relief. I do not have any conviction and did not enter to the UK illegally. Therefore, I possess clean track record. Please advice if I can afford not to worry till next year when I apply for the naturalization.
Thank you.
