Naturalisation refused

Hi
I've had my indefinite leave to remain for 23 yrs. I applied for my natraliisation but was refused because I didn't provide the English requirements test. However I was wondering if I could ask for a reconsideration due to the fact that I suffered psychosis due to being in a domestic violence relationship.

How long ago is the domestic violence issue??

What medical evidence do you have to prove your might be exempt from English and LIUK requirements?

I fled domestic violence in October 2015 and lived in a women's refuge for 10 months but still feeling the affects of the DV. I was under the care of the mental health team so now I would just get health checks from my GP.

It appears that your written English is not bad and you should easily pass the IELTS Life skills which only involves listening and speaking.

Ok so where do I go from here then. Do I need to reapply for natraliisation again?

Yes, you will need to reapply once you have your B1 English test from an HO approved test provider.

Have you done the Life in the UK test??

Yes I have or do I need to retake it?

No you don't have to retake the LIUK test.

Surprisingly, the LUIK is harder than the English test so you should have no issue passing B1 English and it probably would have been simpler to do one than claim exemption but submit evidence of LIUK pass.

Ok. What's the waiting period for reapplying?

It depends if apply by post or online. You will also have to pay the fee again.
