Hiya

Hubby has received letter around good character requirement.

It states according to our records you were in the UK with no leave to remain between 2010-2012 (it was much longer than this and was declared on first spouse visa application?) Do we mention this or just the period they refer to?

He then has 4 questions

1. what steps did you take to regulate your status?

He left of his own accord back to his own country for us to get married but that was at the end of the 2 years- how would we answer this?

2. where did you live - he lived with me and I have a mortgage - need to check what old docs I have

3. Who was responsible for paying your bills - I did again need to see what old bills I have and copies of old bank statements - would that be enough?

4. When and where did you work - I supported him until he went home for us to regulate status - should I add anything else to stengthen reasons. He also did runs for charity may still have emails about it?

Thanks

Hiya

Hubby has received letter around good character requirement.

It states according to our records you were in the UK with no leave to remain between 2010-2012 (it was much longer than this and was declared on first spouse visa application?) Do we mention this or just the period they refer to? Don't your husband declare has no leave to remain before 2012?

He then has 4 questions

1. what steps did you take to regulate your status?

He left of his own accord back to his own country for us to get married but that was at the end of the 2 years- how would we answer this? Just detail how your husband granted his first spouse visa.

2. where did you live - he lived with me and I have a mortgage - need to check what old docs I have. asking during the period of no leave to remain where is your bf/ husband lived.

3. Who was responsible for paying your bills - I did again need to see what old bills I have and copies of old bank statements - would that be enough?

4. When and where did you work - I supported him until he went home for us to regulate status - should I add anything else to stengthen reasons. He also did runs for charity may still have emails about it? only asked during the peroid with no leave to remain.

Thanks

Because your husband has no leave to remain until 2012. likely would be banned from naturalisation until 2022 (10 years) because of breach of immigration rule, and refused on the ground of no good character. They asked may just find out how serious did your husband violated immigration rule during the period with no leave to remain. From what you said your husband seems only overstayed with no leave, but not working or claim benefit or something serious. So at least would not be banned forever.

Thank you! Yes he did declare that he went home to regulate his immigration status and the date on first application but they’ve only specified from 2010 but he declared befor that on first spouse visa - should this be mentioned?
