Hi my wife is having her citizenship ceremony today, she needs to fly on Friday and we doubt her passport will be here in time, is there anyway to upgrade that application made at the time of application at the local checking service to a premium application?
Thanks Steve

No. There is no 'premium application' service for first British passports.

My wife has succesful applied for citizenship and attended her ceromony, she applied via JCAP and is awaiting her passport. She need to leave the uk due to family emergency on Friday before she is likely to have received her passport. Has anyone ever know a passport application made via JCAP ever been refused, is there a chance? Obviously leaving uk without it and no BRP she is putting herself in an awkward situation.
Thanks

No reason her passport should be 'refused'.
How will she re-enter the UK??

Once her passport arrives i will send to her via courier. Just as a side issue, will she have problems leaving uk without her BRP?

Wont they want to see evidence she has been living legally in the UK? Otherwise how do they catch overstayers?
Never remember them asking for it though in past.
Just want to cover all bases
Thanks

She can leave the UK without any issues and no, they won't want to check she has been living legally if she is flying out. If they decide to 'check', they will see her immigration history.
It is returning that is the problem.
