Hi, I am new to such plateform. I apologise if this is not the relevant forum for my query.
I came to UK on spouse visa in 2011. I got my ILR in 2013. I want to apply for UK citizenship.
My questions are:
1. Can my postal address for correspondence with Home Office be different than the home address I am living in when applying for citizenship?
2. Do I need my spouse’s consent or passport/birth certificate for my application?

Much desperate to find right answers for the questions above. Any help is highly appreciated.

Regards

You can declare two addresses one as work related and other as where you live with your partner.
2. Do I need my spouse’s consent or passport/birth certificate for my application? No you dont, unless you are making application as a spouse via 3 year route, then you might require your marriage certificate, once ILR is done there are no dependent applications

Hi dontringthebell, Thanks for ur reply.

Can I declare one address Solely for communication purposes with HO?? and request to HO to not use my living address for any kind of communication? Can I tell them reasons for my request?

I need to be 100% sure before applying. Because I can’t afford to miss any post/letter as my partner don’t hand over my posts which are delivered in my absence.

I suggest you mention the address where you want correspondence to first and follow with your residential address ... Also writing a cover letter and explaining your reasons would be good.

However, be aware it also depends what kind of caseworker gets your application, most of the time they will send your correspondence to the first address you mention anyway.

Dontringthebell, Thank you very much for your advice. It makes sense to mention correspondence address first with the reason of doing so.
Hopefully caseworker will understand my situation.
Your help in this issue is highly appreciated.
