Hi everyone,

I got a call from the passport office saying the payment for the passport application was rejected and to give new card details for them to process the fee. Does this mean the naturalisation application has been approved?

I haven't had any communication from the home office other than the one where they say they have received the application and the payment has been taken.

As I said, have they approve my application if passport office are about to start the passport application??

Thanks

HMPO processing the passport application is not an indication that your naturalisation application has been approved.
Passport fee is generally taking by HMPO shortly after the AN application which is charged by UKVI, separate departments.

Thanks for the reply.

So what happens if the home office rejects the naturalisation application, do I loose the fee paid for the passport office too because I did not obtain the citizenship??

Thanks

Hi,

Well the council states that the passport fee will only be deducted when the naturalisation is approved. But senior members here and gurus like as mentioned by alterhase58, Respected Guru that it is not guaranteed. hence confusion.

Thanks
