Hi we are applying for indefinite leave to remain next week but my son will be 10 in September and he was born in England. I wanted to know if it’s possible to change his application for ilr to application for citizenship as soon as he turns 10. This will allow us to save some money. Thanks

You cannot 'vary' and immigration application to a citizenship application They are two completely different sets of rules/laws and requirements.
You need to be immigration control free and meet any other requirements for an application of Citizenship.
It cannot be varied as they are different set of rules altogether.

Your UK born child does not need ILR to qualify for citizenship. Her would have to meet the requirements to apply on form T.
