I am applying citizenship for my son through MN1 application, section 1(3). When I saw the timeline of this type of application lot of people have received citizenship certificate as well as passport by same application? There was nothing in the application when I applied to suggest the passport can be applied at the same time. My understanding is that passport is to be applied separately, is that correct?

You can only apply for joint citizenship and passport if you apply MN1 online and use NDRS service at Council to submit with paper copy of passport form?

Then unfortunately you cannot apply for a passport at the same time and will have to wait till your receive the citizenship certificate.
