Hi ,

I've recently got British Citizenship ( on the basis of 5 years Tier1 General + 1 year ILR ) , my wife is currently on ILR. Please can someone advise if i can apply for registration of my minor son as British Citizen ? he was born in India and came to UK in March-2013 and has completed 1.5 years on ILR . Or both parents needs to hold BC before i can apply ?

MN1 guide suggest that -
" If one parent holds British citizenship and the other is settled in the UK " then Registration is at the Home Secretary’s discretion but there is no clear rules whether he is eligible for BC or not ?

I'll appreciate if someone can advise on this.

Thanks in advance.
