Unable to collect BRP

Hi,

I have submitted biometric information in the Post Office today (14/07/2018) as a part of my naturalisation application.

I have a trip planned from Sat 21 July until the end of August. If my card does not arrive by Friday 20 July, I will not be at home to collect it and that gives rise to a few queries:
  • What happens when the courier attempts a delivery and nobody's home? Do they return the card to HO?
  • If the courier returns the card to HO, does that have any consequences?
  • If the delivery of both approval letter and BRP does not happen by Friday, do I have a way of nominating someone other to receive the card?
  • The PO clerk told me I need to collect the card from the post office within 30 days of approval. I looked that up online and it looks that's the case only if I am applying from outside the UK
  • Would I have any problems entering back the UK without the BRP?
  • Worst case scenario is that I have not received BRP approval letter and the card by Friday - can someone give any advise on what to do?
Thanks for the help.

You don't get a BRP card for naturalisation applications. You have PR card already.

Enrolling biometrics is only for photo and finger prints to send to HO , you don't get a card.
