Was your father (or mother) born in the UK or what was the connection to the UK?
What documents do you have to support your father's status?
Some questions that the experts in this field are likely to ask.

No he was not born in Uk but his nationality is British Subject.
What i understand.was that from 1949, the status of British subject was also known by the term Commonwealth citizen, and included any person who was one of the following: A citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies. A citizen of any other Commonwealth country. One of a limited number of British subjects without citizenship.
I have his birth certificate which shows he is a British Subject

How did you become a Singaporean citizen? How did your father become a Singaporean citizen? When was your father born? It is highly likely that he automatically became (or was born) a citizen of the United Kingdom and Colonies (CUKC), and that this nationality automatically transmuted into Singaporean citizenship. In that case, it is very hard to see how you could be a British national, let alone a British citizen. Furthermore, you seem unlikely to be eligible to become a
British national.
