Good character confusion

Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone could advise on my situation.
I came to the UK at the age of 5 on my father's passport (now lost). Along the way became an over stayer.
In 2006 (now 21yrs old) I became fed up of waiting for my stepmother to regulate my stay so I contacted my local MP for advice.
July 2006 I received a response from the HO saying I had to make an application to regulate my stay or leave voluntarily.
Nov 2008 application was submitted.
April 2010 ILR granted.
My question is when can I apply for naturalisation? 10yrs from July 2006 or 10yrs from April 2010.
