Tricky situation for MN1 eligible child for Tier 2 Parent

Hi Guys,
I am on Tier 2 VISA eligible for PR, recently I have got to know that my 3 months UK born child can get British citizenship (thanks to this forum). Before I start processing my PR and planning her MN1 we have got the unavoidable situation, and so we need to travel to India on an urgent basis, so my options are:
- Get child's Indian passport by Tatkal route (Her birth is already registered with Indian consulate, London)
- Travel to India on Indian passport
- When I am back to the UK after dropping them to India in 2 weeks time, process my PR application
- Once I get PR apply for MN1 while the child is in India
- Upon MN1 apply for the British passport
My questions are:
- Is it possible to apply for MN1 while the baby is in India (as I am concerned with BRP)?
- Is it possible to apply for the British passport while the baby is in India?
I would appreciate if you guys could guide me here.
Many Thanks.

Just to clarify, do you mean that you are eligible for ILR under the UK Immigration Rules and not PR under the EEA Regulations, which operates differently and can change our response?

I am eligible for ILR. I have completed 5 years on Tier 2 General Visa.

Hi Guys
Is it possible to apply for MN1 form from India?
I have recently got ILR. I have a daughter who is born in UK(6 month old now), currently she is in India. Is there a way I can apply for MN1 form while she is there?
Please do share your experience if you gone through similar situation.
As always, thanks guys.

Why can't you wait until she is back?

Actually she went to India just with Indian Passpport, which means for her to come back either she needs VISA or British passport.
Just in case if I apply for visa then there will be two costs involved. First for Visa and then for MN1 form. so ideal would be just get MN1 form.

Hi Tnila,
I am in the situation as you.
Please let me know how you got on with the application. I have a few queries I need to get answers for before I send my Daughter MN1 application.
1. How did you receive the certificate and where? In India or in the UK?
2. Did you have to send the original passports?
3. How did you manage to get signatures from referees?
4) Do we need to give biometric in India
Please someone respond ASAP
Regards
Vikram

Hi Vikram,
I did not do MN1 from India. As, there were so many uncertainties surrounding timeline and process itself.
I did Tier 2 dependent VISA application. Now, I will be doing MN1 application within the UK.
