Child's Tier 2-dependant visa validity during MN1 application

This is a question regarding the validity of a Tier 2 dependant visa during the MN1 application process.

I plan to register my child has a British citizen because he was born in the UK and I'll hopefully get my ILR soonish.

The MN1 application process is expected to take 1-4 months on average.
Can my child travel in/out of the UK during this period? Is the tier 2 dependant visa valid during this period, given it only expires end of 2019?

Assuming my child is outside UK and the MN1 process has completed in the meanwhile, would my child be able to enter the UK with the tier 2 dependant visa (as long as it hasn't expired)?

Hello Expert

This is really good thing if its true. I am in the same boat as previous post, I will be attending premium appointment for my ILR with my wife on 23rd Nov, it will be Tier 2 - ILR route, and I was planning to apply for my son's MN1(or via new process online which I am clueless yet) after we get our ILR. But I thought, since we change our status from tier 2 to ILR, my son's tier 2 dependent visa would not be valid to travel out of UK and come back whilst we wait for new online MN1 process.

Can I please ask you about new process or registration of british citizen for child(MN1) and passport? will there be joint application or separate and if you know how long it takes roughly?

Thanks

Aziz
