NDRS + JCAP appointment - uncancelled expired passport/s not necessary?

Hi all,

First of all a very big thank you to Char for all your help and advice, and all other moderators, guru's, senior and members of the site who have chipped in and provided their time unselfishly and help to so many, thank you.

My wife and I have just got back from my NDRS + JCAP local council appointment, all okay, just thought would give some feedback on two issues:-

1) The Registrar was pretty insistent and refused to take copies of both of our uncancelled expired passports as listed in Section 3 of Passport App's, despite me asking her to please do so. She insisted that they were not necessary for either applications, so didn't take copies of these?

2) Initially she also insisted it was not necessary to take copies of Trinity B1 English Cert and pass as they weren't on the checklist, but these I persuaded her to take copies of and submit?

Now the wait :)

You will get asked to send them in if HO or HMPO require them. Don't stress.

English is a must though as this would definitely have been asked for even at a later date. Don't stress.

Thanks Char, thank you very much for all your help, will finish putting those online template screenshots together, just editing personal info out.

Cheers

No problem Char, I also just remembered she also wouldn't take our ILR approval letter as she insisted that the ILR BRP's were sufficient. :o

When I was at my NDRS appointment I wanted to check whether the registrar has included everything I wanted but they didn't allow me to even turn the pages. "Told me", just sign the paper. I comply with them as I didnt want any troubles. It would have been so much better if they allow people to check the documents before they seal the envelop.
