citizenship ceremony invitation and local council booking

Dear All,
Please help if you have encountered such a problem. I have received a Citizenship Invitation letter from Home Office stating that I should contact my local council to book a ceremony. When I contacted my local council, they said that the reference number isn't in their system and I should call again in 2 days time. I did ring them several times but the reference number does not appear in their system. I received the letter dated 26 October 2018 on the 3rd of November. That's a week after and in the letter, it stated that I should book a ceremony within 21 days and I'm now running out of time within the time frame. I've also contacted Home office and they gave me an email address to write to but no reply yet so I have written to them again. Please have you ever been in this situation and have you resolved the issue? if so, please advise.

I have been asked to send an email to citizenship.support@homeoffice.gov.uk
I have received no reply yet from HO

You have 90 days to attend the ceremony (usual wait depends on the council) so there is no real rush to get this sorted. I am sure they will get back to you soon. If it is over the 90 days and their fault again they will rectify things.

after sending HO the email, they have sent across the paper work to the local council. I called in and booked a ceremony. There was no intimation by the HO for this. I just called the council after a week of sending the email and they had received the document from HO.
