Travelling after applying for British Naturalisation

Hello,

Just wanted to gather some information whether one is allowed to travel overseas once they have applied for the Passport. As i have read on the Gov website that
You may not be able to use your passport for travel until you have received a decision on your application.

It applies to visa/ILR/extensions and NOT to citizenship applications!!
