At the moment it looks like anybody from the EU who has lived here for five years is going to be eligible for the settled status regardless of whether they have been exercising the Treaty rights or not. This is great, but does it mean that one year after acquiring the settled status you can apply for the British citizenship and the Home Office will not require that you have exercised the Treaty rights for six years?
This sounds a bit too good to be true. Does anybody know how it's all supposed to look like in the foreseeable future?

Nothing has been published in relation to naturalisation. Guessing, one could assume that during the transition period (if there is one) you could still use your PR document for the application, or if you haven't got one but have acquired PR then probably your settled status document could be uised. Not clear how you will obtain a settled status document as the publicity so far points to a paperless process. You will still have to comply with the AN requirements, whichever way, as AN itself has nothing to do with UK leaving the EU.
