Long Gap in Employment

Hello,
I received my ILR in Dec-2015. I stopped working in Feb-2016 due to my health situation (Depression and acute anxiety) and since, I have funded my upkeep from my savings. I drew ESA benefits for only 3 months earlier this year. I am still on medication but i am getting better. I'm planning to get back into work in 3 months time.

Given such a long gap in employment and having drawn ESA benefits for 3 months, Would it affect my BC Application? Or, Should i return to work first, and then apply after a few months into employment?

Please suggest (if possible, in detail) how should i plan becoming a British Citizen. Thanks a lot for your time and valued advice.

Employment is not mandatory for citizenship. There is no rule that you must have been employed for the 5 years before applying.
