Waiting time for Return of Documents

Hi All,
How long does it take usually to receive return of Ducuments. I requested back my Passport and BRP card almost 8 days ago and I haven’t yet received it. I know Home office website says it will take 10 working days but really does it take 10 or more working days to receive documents back? My ticket is booked after 2 weeks. I am bit worried.
