Can respected moderators throw some light on the query please.
Now that both parents and the child have ILR can we apply for our childs naturalization. Did we even need to get an ILR for the child in the first place.I have a bad feeling that I just wasted more than 3000 pounds
In childs ILR fee could he have applied for citizenship straightaway after parents got ILR.PLease note that the child is born outside of EU. Many thanks for any answers.

No you cannot apply for the child yet. Yes the child needs ILR to apply for citizenship. A child born abroad has NO entitlement to register as British and will only qualify when a parent applies.

Children born abroad are expected to hold ILR and can only register as British once EITHER parent is applying with the child OR one parent is already British and the other holds ILR.

Note also that children are registered as British. Only adults are Naturalised.
