Good Morning! i have used this website few years ago when i was applying for British citizen. 2 years on i now want to apply for my first British passport but i cant remember what form or the process i need to do to get the new passport. Can someone point me the right direction either online or posting and what documents i would need please?

The site will take you through the process - easier (and a bit cheaper) than applying on paper (form from the Post Office).

thanks for the link! can i use the online service for my first passport after Naturalisation ? i remember it was only post office few years ago.

thanks! i think i am going do the post office check and send option. what form would i need to ask when i go to a post office and is it possible to request them to send original document ( passport etc ) back record delivery or do i need to put my own prepaid stamp in ?

Simply ask for a passport application.

You would need to send your own prepaid SD envelope.

and why is that ? only reason why i was going go post office for check and send is because i dont know anywhere with a digital photo upload service. i only seen booths which is nice and easy.

Didn't do photo upload - just sent in my photos with the referee sheet and documents, which has to be done as only originals are accepted. Found the whole process easier than filling in paper form.

interesting, just went through the online application it is asking me only uploading a picture online no option for sending photos with documents. the steps are

Get a digital passport photo

Apply and pay online
A standard passport costs £75.50.

They can confirm your identity online without a printed photo.

Send us your documents
They need to be originals. We’ll tell you what you need to send.

i will probably do online now anyway as apparently you can use a mobile phone to take a picture and upload it.

Go to post office, ask for form, decide whether you want your documents lost in the post, if not then pay a fiver for a courier lumped together with passport fee.

It took me 5 days, Google is also your friend

to be honest, i did google it and it took me to this website which then i remembered i used before for help. i wasn't sure weather it was still a simple process of going to the post office asking for a form for a new passport after naturalisation. Just wanted to clarify the process.
