please, can someone help me. I came into the Uk in Dec 2013 with a spouse visa valid for three years. Had a child but unfortunately, in 2014 my marriage broke down to due domestic violence. However, due to the circumstances of my marriage break down, was given indefinite leave to remain in the UK in 2015. Today 28th of December 2018 made it my five years of living in the Uk .please do you think by January 2019 I can apply for Naturalisation?

Yes, assuming you meet all the requirements for naturalisation (Language, LITUK, physical presence in the UK at the start of the five year period, absence, etc).

Thank Simon. I have passed my life in the UK test. Not travelled since I entered the UK, I had an IELTS English exam which was used to grant my entry as an a pass in English language requirements. But it was in 2013. Don't know if I can use it to apply for naturalisation.

English A1 was required for a spouse visa.
For citizenship you need English B1 minimum. Best to take a new test at the required level from an HO approved test provider on the current test provider list.

What exactly does your certificate state/say??
At risk of losing the citizenship fee of £1330 for the wrong test which has expired, spending £150 on a up to date test might be worthwhile.
