Good afternoon all,

Hoping I could get a few answers as this thread seems like the best place for me to start.

I'll be applying for a British passport for my wife at the beginning of next month and was looking for some assistance in filling out the application. I believe she has all the correct documents life in the uk, b1 certificate, indefinite leave to remain so I guess the first question is can these centres assist me with completing the form? Or is it just to upload the documents when you fill out the form online? Also these centres how much do they charge per appointment? If what I need is not done by the centres does anyone know where I could get assistance from?

Thanks in advance.

No, the centres do NOT assist with completing form. You have to do that yourself online. The new service is only for documentation submission or upload.

Good afternoon,

Hopefully I can get some answers here I tried to message earlier but I'm not sure it went through correctly so trying again!

I'll be applying for a British Passport/Naturalisation for my wife at the beginning of next month (February) I was hoping for some clarification as to where I could get assistance completing the form?, if i book an appointment with UCVCAS are they able to assist with this? If so how much do they usually charge for a service like this. I believe I have all the documents i'll need for her application... Life in the UK certificate, B1, Indefinate Leave to remain (bio card) reason for asking is purely its a high fee and if mistakes are made then you'd have to pay again so i'd really like someone to proof read it all and make sure I'm not missing anything

It could be that i'm totally off course here and need to get in touch with someone else but if anyone could advise/ or point me in the right direction that'd be much appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

If you are looking for someone to help with your application, there is no free service. You would have to pay for a solicitor or immigration advisor.

You are also free to ask for advice on the forum. It is NOT a difficult application to make.

Also please do not post your queries in the 'experience' topic, keep your questions in this thread which is yours that I split to its own topic.

Thanks for replying. I did suspect the service not to be free would you know if UKVCAPS provide this service and if so how much they charge?

No they don't and neither did the old NCS or NDRS service. You are expecting to complete the form yourself or pay for an immigration advisor to help if you believe your case is very complex.

Sopra is only a document and biometric facilitation third party agent. They are not HO staff or caseworkers.

Fair enough. I'm i missing any documents from your knowledge when applying for Citizenship from my previous response. If it's as simple as you suggest I may give it a go then, i presume I can use one of the centres to upload the documents?

Thanks,

You simply need to submit the limited documents the online process check list gives. The ones you have listed plus marriage cert and passports.
