Hi there,

I am british citizen through naturalisation route. I have been living in pakistan for last 18 months or so. I have a 15 months old daughter born in pakistan and i want to apply for her British passport. Can someone guide me through procedure and what supporting documents need sending.
Just to clarify my wife is Not british she got spous vise on her passport meaning father is British national and mother is not.

It can take 16 weeks or more from Pakistan.

Child will be British by Descent, i.e. cannot pass citizenship onto their children if born abroad.

Do i need to send my original british passport as per supporting documents mentioned in table c row 2 birn after 1983.

Also it says both parent's naturalisation certificates but my wife has not got naturalisation certificate only i have, again do i neec original sending or photocopy, if i am not wrong naturalisation certificate if lost cannot be reissued.

A naturalisation certificate CAN be reissued.

Likely HMPO will want to see original documents.

Can you please answer my question regarding both parents naturalisation certificate where as in our case only myself got naturalisation certificate and not my wife.

Only one parent needs to be British at the time of birth for the child to be British by descent.
