Hi everyone,
I am Turkish national currenty holding ILR in the UK. I am going to apply for a British citizenship soon. As a Turkish national, I have to attend the B1 English test for my application. However, I have also Australian citizenship. I was wondering, can I get an exemption for B1 test based on my dual nationality. Your comments would be greatly appreciated.

I believe you will have to apply for BC as an Australian citizen to claim the exemption, rather than "pick & mix".

Thanks for you reply but I don't think you understood the question. I am here in the UK as a Turkish national and have received my ILR as a Turkish national. How can I apply as an Australian. I can only state on my application that I have another nationality which is Australian.

Understood your question, and maybe that's an option, perhaps similar duals on this board can confirm.

you sure about this? Or you just talking?

Home Office policy guidance (November 2018) states in the majority English speaking countries:

"A person must provide a valid passport or travel document to show they are a citizen or national of a majority English-speaking country. A dual national can rely on either of their nationalities"
