Hello,

I need help in filling the AN form, I got PR last years on the basis of retaining right of residence as I got divorce with my EEA spouse.
In the form it asks about PR card number and for that it asks that if I am a family member of EEA citizen, whereas I am divorced now and there is no option of former family member.
I don’t know what to select, can someone guide me what to do here...

Thanks

Hello, you got this right on the basis of ex-family member so it applies to you too even in your own right, so I would tick as EEA family member. Just to clarify, did you receive retained rights Residence Card or Permanent Residence Card because they are two different things. Also worth nothing the following two points:

(1) Ensuring you held Permanent Residence status for at least 12 months (from the acquired date in the letter and not the date card was issued on) before you submit your application.
(2) Also make sure you were physically present in the country date of application-5 years (exact date).

Good luck with your application :)

Hi, many thanks for your reply,

I had residence card issued on the basis of ROR first and then I applied for the confirmation of PR, I received PR card with the PR letter...

So, I have to tick as EEA family member option and also do I need to put PR acquired date on the form or the date on PR card (because they are different)

Thanks

You’re very welcome. It seems like you have the correct PR document. The date you should use is the date you acquired your permanent residence right on (as mentioned in the letter). The date on the card is simply the date it was issued not when you acquired PR which is automatic right under EEA Regulations. My application is based on exactly same circumstances as you, good luck again :)

Thanks

One more question if you don’t mind replying,
With regards to the documents, will my passport would be enough to prove my U.K. residence as I don’t get any stamp in U.K. but I do get enter and exit stamp from my home country and also I haven’t visited any EU country so would only my Passport would be sufficient to prove residence...

For Non-EEA nationals only passport is required to prove residence. I also had entry/exit stamp only from home country which is fine. I Provided my current passport as well as the expired one (it has entry clearance visa when I first came to the UK).
