MN1 application for UK born child from abroad

Hi,
I am EU citizen with Settled Status (ILR) and I wish to register my UK born child who is 5.5 years old as British citizen. He was born in UK and lived here until he was two and then moved back to Bulgaria. I received my settled status recently.
Can I use MN1 while the child is abroad?
If yes, can I use his local GP and teacher as professional referee?
I understand that the MN1 process from abroad can take a little longer as the biometrics need to be done via Vfs Global.
The documents I prepared so far are:
Child UK birth certificate
Father Settled Status (ILR)
Child passport
Father passport
Two professional referees
Any advise will be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
