Hello everyone!

Are rules for EEA family members different to EEA nationals applying for naturalisation after they get PR?

Asking cause when we applied for PR, I didnt get the letter confirming the date I acquired PR status, only the main applicant (EEA national) received such letter. Then when I wrote to HO asking to confirm the date, they sent back the day we applied for PR and not my actual 5 years residency date. Their letter explained if I believe the date is sooner, I have to send the necessary documents during naturalisation (all documents were already been given for PR application!).

I am in UK since 11/2012 as an EEA family member, working full time for the same employee since 01/2013. This clearly justifies 5+1 years requirement for naturalisation, but the letter I received says I acquired permanent residency on 06/18 (PR application date).

Can I apply now and provide additional documents or do I have to wait till 06/19? Just dont want to risk the application fee and get rejection.

Hi, you might want to Request personal information held in the borders, immigration and citizenship system to know exactly what is stated in their records before you apply.
