Dear Board,
I am looking to apply Right of Abode certificate for my newborn Son. I am a British citizen through naturalization. My Son is born in Pakistan few weeks ago, I have searched the forum and i believe that ROA is the best option for now. But i could not find the documents i need and how and where to apply for ROA.
Moreover, my wife is on spouse Visa and my dependent, her visa will expire in 6 months i would like to get my Son's application done asap so we could all travel to UK. I am currently in Pakistan and intend to travel with my family once the ROA is received. You guidance will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Did they require a
TB certificate? I don’t believe that
CoE-RoA applicants are subject to any
medical requirements.

Hi Hamakhaa,
Thanks for Your Reply,
I booked for my kid's appointment for VFS on 13/04/19
can you please help me with a few answers.
1) Did you apply ROA with VFS priority Service?
2) Do we have to make a copy of All documents?
3) Priority service is £212. As you got the visa in just 12 days is this standard time frame OR did you apply with Priority service?
Anyone recently Apply ROA, please reply, I have to submit documents on 13/04 as I already applied online.
Thanks

Bank statement is not necessary as per home office guidance notes but naturalisation certificate is most important piece of paper.
Naturalisation certificate shows the date on which you become a British citizen.
Passport can’t tells the date when you acquired British citizenship.

why the above are even required? I believe it's not a visa where you need to show the financial documents. Are they even required?

Thanks for the reply, the only reason i am asking is that i am in pak at the moment and i dont have access to the bank statement, so was little concerned if i really have to attach any of the financial documents or tenancy agreement? Much appreciate your help. Thanks again.

As I have mentioned I habve provided a bank statement and you will need atleast 3 months bank statement. Since you are the main sponsor so some level of financial support is required to be provided to any visa I think.

Thanks for your reply, My point is it's not a Visa the child is automatically a British citizen. Visa requires financial proofs but why do a British citizen needs a Visa or Financial backing.? Moreover, i couldn't find anything in guidance mentioning any financial documents at all. I would like to see a single phrase where it requires any financial documents. Please correct me if i am wrong. would like seniors input as well if possible. thanks again

Dear members,
I have one question to ask, i have booked my Son's appointment for the Right of Abode. I paid and completed the online form. At the end of the form online there was a document asked for the Letter of consent from your parent(s) or legal guardian(s). Do me and my wife need to write a letter of consent? My son is 7 Months old. I am a naturalised citizen and my wife is on the spouse visa. Kindly advice as i have only 3 days left. Thanks a lot

Thanks for the reply bro, my only confusion is that at the end of the form online they ask you to check the box of providing the letter of consent under the necessary documents. Did you also happen to see that requirement while filling the form?.
