I've been searching the boards for this info as well as the UKVCAS, GOV.uk and Sopra websites and I can not find any guidance as to what supporting document is to be uploaded under what category. But it does warn to make sure you upload under the correct one! I've waited till the last minute to upload before my appointment as I wanted to be sure I was doing it correctly. Please does anyone have any links to this information?

I understand everyone's application and supporting documents are different, but if it's so important to upload in the correct category is there some guidance somewhere? Or am I totally overlooking something obvious to everyone else? Surely I'm not the first or only one with these questions.

It was pretty clear that my passport was to go under 'Proof of Application'.

My supporting documents are:
Current passport
Pass passports showing travel & ILR (Is this proof of Identity/Travel history or Residence in the UK??)
Birth Certificate
Life in the UK Pass letter (Would this go under Educational?)
Marriage Licence (Residence or Life events or Proof of Identity?)
Referees 1 and 2 (Residence?, no idea)
Tax Return (Pretty sure this is Sponsors/Employment)
Driver's licence (Residence or Identity?)

Document choices are:
Proof of Application (Current Passport uploaded)
Other
Residence in the UK
Finances
Proof of Business
Life Events
Medical Information
Sponsors/Employment
Proof of Identity/Travel History (Birth Certificate uploaded)
Educational

Why are you submitting these documents??

What is your Immigration route and ILR/PR/Settled route to qualify for citizenship??

Sorry, should have said. I'm an American married to a British Citizen. Been married 13 years and lived here in the UK this whole time.

I wasn't specifically asked for my Birth Certificate. Using as supporting document to show proof of Identity and place of birth to show that I speak English as my first language.

I was asked to supply our marriage certificate as a supporting document.

I was asked to supply most recent tax year account statement and tax return for my business.

I wasn't specifically asked for my Driver's Licence. Using as supporting document to show proof of living in the UK and evidence of Identity.

I left off my husband's passport. No idea what category to put that under either.

Presumably you hold ILR??

Birth cert is not required. Passport is proof of identity and English speaking. Only Liuk test needed.

Drivers licence not required either.

Thank you. Sounds like I'm struggling with my supporting documents! oops. I best review. Yes I have ILR and I've passed the Life in the UK test.

The things I'm most unsure about and don't want to get wrong as they are important are.

Life in the UK pass letter. Which category do I upload that under?

My two Referee signed documents. Which category do I upload those under?

I'd also love to know the answer where to load the referee and LIUK + English test results.

Should it go under 'Other'?

Even I have doubts about some of the categories on the SOPRA STERIA upload documents section.

I am applying under 5 year route SET M , ILR

What will go in Finances? Since my husband is my sponsor and we are uploading most of the proofs in Sponsors/Emplyment section. Still have doubt about Finances section.

Few days before my biometrics (yesterday) i uploaded my referees in 'Other ' and the Life in UK and Trinity College in Education.

(after uploading all my documents online, i had an email from UKVCAS saying they have checked my uploaded documents and all legible and no action required)

Based on my experience, i have uploaded my Life in UK pass certificate in 'Education'. I uploaded my two referees in 'OTHER' ... (Got an email from them saying they had checked all the documents i uploaded and no action is required)

I had my biometrics yesterday in London Premiere Lounge, I paid £200 for this plus extra £35 for checking the documents (Just for more peace of mind)

"Financial" information is not required for naturalisation, i.e. proof of earnings.

Kindly continue in your own topic as this topic is from a user applying for British citizenship and not ILR.
