I have a query regarding Nationality application and 12 months requirement after ILR;
My immigration history is as follows;
April 2009 came to the UK
(student dependent entry clearance)
Feb 2010 visa extension
(PSW dependent)
Feb 2012 visa extension
(FLR-O remained pending 4 yrs)
Jan 2016 visa granted
(LoTR 2.5 yrs)
MARCH 2018
SPOUSE BECAME BRITISH
August 2018 visa
(Spouse dependent FLR-M 2.5 yrs)

(ILR 10 yr long residence route)
Do I have to wait 12 months to apply for citizenship?

No, not if your spouse is British.
Can I apply now?
Yes if you meet all the requirements to apply as spouse of BC which is based on the last 3 years residence.

Does the following matter;
1. My spouse been British only for a year?
2. I've remained on FLR(M) for only 9 months?

Your spouse needs to be British at the time you apply and hold ILR, regardless of which route to ILR you took. I did not say you must have been married to a British citizen for 3 years!
Spouse of British citizenship applications is based on the last 3 years residence and you must meet the requirements, including the physically present in the UK at the start of the 3 year period immediately before applying for citizenship.

If your spouse was not British when you got your residence through them, and then becomes British, can you still apply to citizenship without waiting for 12 months after ILR as long as you have secured ILR after 5 or 10 years route? I will be in a similar situation.

The requirement for a Section 6(2)/spouse of a British citizen naturalisation application is that the spouse of the applicant must be a British citizen on the date of the application.
You can apply as the spouse of a British citizen the day after the spouse's citizenship ceremony, if you meet the other requirements.
