Dual Citizenship - only 1 passport

Dear All
I have recently acquired british citizenship.
I have also a Brazilian passport.
I need to travel but have no time to apply for a British passport.
The permanent residence I held has been cancelled due to my naturalisation.
No one in the Home office could advise me on what may happen once I return to the UK.
Any advice?
Of course I will travel with documents proving my citizenship.
Anyone in a similar position?
Kind regards

Why was your PR cancelled??

You appear to have attained/gained PR under the EEA rules, which is NOT cancelled on the grant of British citizenship. Cancelling ILR only applies to ILR under the UK immigration route applications and not the PR status under the EEA route.

Dear All
I have received my permanent residence today 05/07/16 with all the documents.
I have applied alone (I am a non EEA national) sponsored by my wife.
I have applied on 13/01/2016.
COA in February (10/02/16).
I have requested the passport back twice before receiving in May (had to make a trip).
It is interesting/relief because my wife was unemployed for 3 months during the past 5 years.
She did not have CSI during the 5 year period...And was not registered as a job seeker.
She is a researcher and we did not see the point back then...
Many thanks for the support in the forum.
Best of luck to other applicants.

That is correct (was via EU route) and is a relief. I just assume it was cancelled as they ask for it (BRP) to be returned.
Many thanks for your prompt reply.
Best wishes
